Carestream debuts bone density software

Carestream Health division Carestream Molecular Imaging has released a bone density software application that can provide bone density analysis of small animals in vivo and mineral density of specimens in vitro.

An optional module for Carestream's molecular imaging software, the application uses a cylindrical model that provides density measurements of the bone, the bone marrow, bone size, and bone wall thickness. The software is designed for use with the Rochester, NY-based vendor's In-Vivo Imaging FX Pro, Multispectral FX, and DXS 4000 Pro systems.
