Epix CEO resigns

Epix Pharmaceuticals CEO Dr. Michael Kauffman, Ph.D., has resigned his post to pursue other business opportunities.

The Lexington, MA-based contrast agent developer has named Elkan Gamzu, Ph.D., as interim CEO, effective immediately. Gamzu is currently a consultant to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, Epix said.
