DALSA debuts High Quanta sensors

Canadian digital imaging developer DALSA has introduced its High Quanta family of CCD sensors.

Designed for scientific, life sciences, and astronomy applications, High Quanta sensors employ smaller CCD transistor structures and offer noise performance improvements and quantum efficiency peaking at more than 75%, according to the Waterloo, Ontario-based firm.

The High Quanta family includes three sensors with resolutions of 2084 x 2084, 1044 x 1044, and 524 x 524; all feature a 24-µm pixel size, DALSA said. The company first demonstrated the systems at last month's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
