U-Systems taps new VP

Breast ultrasound vendor U-Systems has appointed veteran ultrasound executive Bob Thompson as vice president of marketing and business development.

Thompson will join the San Jose, CA-based firm on October 1, and comes to U-Systems after serving as vice president for global marketing and product development at Canadian ultrasound developer Ultrasonix Medical. He has also served stints at GE Healthcare and ATL Ultrasound.
