GE announces new head of MR division

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has promoted Jim Davis to vice president and general manager of the company's global MR business.

Davis has served since January 2001 as vice president of sales and marketing for GE's Diagnostic Imaging business in the Americas.

He replaces John Chiminski, who is leading the integration of two diagnostics business units that GE is planning to acquire from Abbott of Abbott Park, IL. Chiminski will head GE’s new Clinical Diagnostics business following the closing of the acquisition.
