Information systems provider SourceMedical has released SourceRad V3, the Birmingham, AL-based company's third-generation RIS/PACS/billing software.
The Web-based application is designed to run over the Internet without any network security requirements, such as a virtual private network (VPN), eliminating the need for dedicated hardware, software, and ongoing support from an in-house IT staff, according to SourceMedical.
SourceRad V3 has been completely rewritten in Microsoft's .NET platform and offers several speed, performance, and usability enhancements, the company said. The application is run in a hosted datacenter and is ideally suited for multisite imaging center operators, according to SourceMedical.
