Array upgrades 2905, debuts MammoPro

Digitizer firm Array USA has incorporated new upgrades for its 2905 laser film digitizer.

The system can now use a USB connection to the host PC instead of its traditional SCSI connection, according to the Hampton, NH-based firm. In addition, Array said it has improved the serviceability of the unit, simplified the location of the H-Sync sensor, and consolidated its electronics section.

In other Array news, the company has rolled out its MammoPro digitizer. The system is designed as a complement to full-field digital mammography systems, and allows users to import prior mammograms for comparison purposes, Array said.

It employs a laser light source and scans an 18 x 24-inch film in 30 seconds at 50-micron resolution. MammoPro incorporates an autofeeder, host PC, and application software in a single form; users can also utilize touch-screen controls, Array said.
