MedSolutions debuts radiology claim analysis

Radiology management firm MedSolutions has introduced Predictive Radiology Intelligence, a service that analyzes radiology costs from claims data.

By better understanding their radiology costs, health plans can implement appropriate cost-reduction strategies, according to the Franklin, TN-based firm. Predictive Radiology Intelligence employs mathematical algorithms and statistical analysis encompassing historical data to predict not only if physicians order radiology inappropriately, but in what clinical circumstances an individual referring provider is most likely to order, MedSolutions said.
