Siemens wraps up mummy imaging deal

Siemens Medical Solutions is joining forces with the National Geographic Society (NGS) to support a research project on mummies being conducted by Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities.

The NGS and the Malvern, PA-based vendor have donated a Somatom Emotion 6 scanner for the project, which aims to conserve mummies and study health and disease in ancient Egypt.
