U.S. Electronics gets 510(k)

Display distributor U.S. Electronics has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) marketing clearance for Totuku's ME511L five-megapixel monochrome LCD.

Additional documentation has been submitted for an FDA clearance for the monitor for mammography applications, according to the Minneapolis-based vendor.

Intended for diagnostic reading of medical images in a full range of modalities, the ME511L has a 21.3-inch screen. It also offers viewing angles of 170° in all directions, a 600:1 contrast ratio, and dual-digital video input; it can be used in both portrait and landscape modes, U.S. Electronics said.
