2002 01 08 15 48 40 706 The rate of nuclear medicine procedures performed per capita in the U.S. is highest in the southeastern states. Four of the top 10 states come from this region.

In 1999, the highest utilization rate was in West Virginia, with 95 procedures performed per 1,000 population, followed by Delaware and Florida.

The utilization rate for Washington, DC, is omitted as it has an unusually high service-to-resident population ratio.
