Swedish PACS developer Sectra has formed PaxLink, a new teleradiology services company in Scandinavia. PaxLink was formed in cooperation with Orebro Innovation Center and a group of Swedish radiologists to receive and read x-ray images from Swedish and Norwegian hospitals.
Images sent to PaxLink will be read by radiologists from the Orebro Medical Center Hospital, among others, according to Linkoping, Sweden-based Sectra. A significant shortage of radiologists in Scandinavia means that PaxLink will provide additional customer benefits to its PACS customers, according to the firm.
Sectra is also interested in setting up similar services outside of the Scandinavian markets, in collaboration with local radiology groups and sales partners. However, PaxLink is intended only for Scandinavian customers, according to the firm.
