IntraCom gets clearance

Internet healthcare firm IntraCom has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for MedEcho, a software application that transmits ultrasound images in real-time over the Internet. MedEcho is part of IntraCom's MedDesk suite of Internet-based healthcare applications. Final release of MedEcho is expected in the second quarter, according to the Thousand Oaks, CA-based firm.
