Philips purchase of ADAC gets U.S. OK

Dutch firm Philips Electronics said the waiting period under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust act has expired for its planned acquisition of nuclear medicine and radiation therapy firm ADAC Laboratories. Last month Philips announced its plan to buy Milpitas, CA-based ADAC for about $426 million, or $18.50 per share.
