United Imaging installs PET/CT scanner at Fla. hospital

United Imaging recently installed an uMI 550 PET/CT scanner at Holy Cross Health, a member hospital of Trinity Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The scanner has PET resolution of 2.9 mm per National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standards and allows for lower radiation dose, the company said. United Imaging said the scanner's specifications support improved image quality and better detection of small lesions.
