The RSNA is planning to shut down publication of printed journals in favor of moving all of its publications to digital, the society has announced.

In a note published on September 20 attributed to its board of directors, the RSNA said its Radiology and RadioGraphics journals would soon be available "exclusively online." The note said that the change would have environmental benefits and that the move from print to digital also "provides our readers with the earliest possible access to articles and seamless integration between articles and multimedia resources available on any mobile device."

The final RadioGraphics print edition will be the November/December edition, while the final printed Radiology edition will be the 100th anniversary issue, scheduled to be published in January 2023.

"As we approach Radiology's 100th anniversary, the transition to an all-digital format reflects the evolution of RSNA's flagship journal to meet the changing needs and expectations of our subscribers," said Dr. Linda Moy, editor designate of Radiology.
