The Mayo Clinic and Alphabet subsidiary Verily reached a two-year agreement to develop a digital point-of-care tool for clinical decision support.

Mayo will provide curated clinical content -- validated knowledge on disease management, care guidelines, and treatment from its multidisciplinary practice -- to Verily. In turn, Verily will apply clinical analytics and user-centered design to deliver care insights that are integrated into the healthcare provider workflow.

Initially, Mayo and Verily will focus on a set of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic conditions, the companies said.
