HCA Healthcare announced it is partnering with Google to provide cloud services for a secure and dynamic data analytics platform to enable the development of operational models focused on actionable insights and improved workflows.

In combination with a significant investment by HCA in mobility to support clinical care, the partnership with Google Cloud is expected to offer physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals workflow tools, analysis, and alerts on their mobile devices to help them respond to changes in a patient's condition, the company stated.

In addition, the partnership will focus on needs in nonclinical support areas that may benefit from improved workflows through better use of data and insights, such as supply chain, human resources, and physical plant operations, according to a press release.

HCA has deployed 90,000 mobile devices that run tools created by the company's PatientKeeper and Mobile Heartbeat teams.
