GE Healthcare gets FDA nod for 7T MRI image reconstruction

GE Healthcare announced that its AIR Recon DL deep-learning image reconstruction technology has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for use on the company's Signa 7.0T MRI scanner.

AIR Recon DL is a deep-learning image reconstruction technology designed to take raw MRI data and maximize image quality and resolution in shorter scan times.

The deep-learning technology was developed on GE Healthcare's Edison intelligence platform and is available as an upgrade or with new system purchases, the company stated in a release. It is currently available on GE Healthcare 1.5-tesla, 3.0-tesla, and 7-tesla MR systems.
