Accuray has received Shonin approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to sell its ClearRT helical fanbeam kVCT imaging system in Japan.
The company received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for the system in December 2020 and said it expects full production release in the U.S. as well as European Union CE Mark approval this summer.
ClearRT works with Accuray's radiation therapy systems to acquire diagnostic-quality CT images for guiding treatment sessions.
