ARRS names Kruskal as new president

The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) has named Dr. Jonathan Kruskal, PhD, as its president for the 2021 to 2022 year. He replaces Dr. Alexander Norbash.

Kruskal earned his medical degree at the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1982. In 1987, he earned a doctorate in molecular biology and liver tumor physiology and came to the U.S. He completed a radiology residency at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston in 1994.

Kruskal has authored more than 200 articles and is currently a professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and chair of the radiology department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Other newly elected ARRS officers include President-elect Dr. Gary Whitman of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston; Vice President Dr. Erik Paulson of Duke Health in Durham, NC; and Secretary-Treasurer Dr. Angelisa Paladin of the University of Washington in Seattle.
