Canon Medical Systems USA has partnered with the organization that owns and operates the San Antonio Spurs National Basketball Association (NBA) team to advance medical imaging for athletes of all skill levels.
The new partnership builds upon prior collaboration between Canon and Spurs Sports & Entertainment, which operates a number of sports teams in south Texas, including the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs, the Austin Spurs, and San Antonio FC. Additional information will be released on Spurs social media channels in the coming months.
The collaboration between Canon and Spurs Sports & Entertainment began in 2016 when a group of Spurs executives visited Europe and learned Canon was behind the diagnostic imaging capabilities for many premier soccer clubs. The Spurs have since involved Canon in their player care program and participated in Canon professional education programs.
