Clarius Mobile Health has shipped more than 3,300 of its Clarius L7 HD handheld ultrasound scanners for physicians specifically doing injections and pain management, which represents over 100% quarter-over-quarter growth.
The skyrocketing number of orders is likely due to the COVID-19 quarantine worsening the problem of pain disorders, deconditioning, and disuse, according to a company press release.
Ultrasound-guided injections can maximize pain relief for adults, but the cost and complexity of cart-based ultrasound has been a barrier to adoption, according to Clarius. That's where the firm's wireless, handheld ultrasound comes in, the firm said.
