Philips Healthcare parent Royal Philips said it has launched QuickClear, a single-use mechanical thrombectomy system.

The compact unit includes an all-in-one aspiration pump and catheter for removal of blood clots from the vessels of the peripheral arterial and venous systems, according to the vendor. Its range of catheters include a 10-French aspiration catheter, which provides 59% more aspiration volume than 8-French aspiration catheters, Philips said.
