Women's imaging vendor Hologic has released updates to its Brevera breast biopsy system.
The system includes Hologic's CorLumina imaging technology and combines vacuum-assisted tissue acquisition, imaging verification in real-time, and postbiopsy handling tools. It is used with the company's Affirm prone biopsy guidance system.
Among updates to the device, Brevera now includes a resusable device driver and disposable needles and tools to transfer biopsy samples to pathology with minimal handling, according to the firm.
