Healthcare Administrative Partners (HAP) and the Strategic Radiology Patient Safety Organization have partnered to study and improve patient communication for incidental findings on images acquired in the emergency department (ED).
Strategic Radiology has previously received grant money to study patient notification methods for incidental images in the emergency setting, and HAP's Deep Dive Analytics service helps identify patients at risk of missing follow-up medical imaging.
Specifics about the partnership were not disclosed. The companies plan to share their results later in 2020.
