Kubtec adds patents for breast cancer imaging

Digital x-ray firm Kubtec has received two new breast cancer imaging patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Patent No. 15,892,482 describes both the system and the method for implementing voice control on Mozart, the company's 3D imaging system that enables visualization of surgical margins during breast cancer procedures. In addition, patent No. 16,282,914 details the system and method in which Kubtec integrates an optical camera into its intraoperative systems, enabling surgeons to see the physical specimen captured on the same screen as the 3D images, the vendor said.
