Radiology artificial intelligence (AI) firm Care Mentor AI is touting its AI-based diagnostic systems for chest, foot, knee, and breast imaging at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago.

For example, in x-ray imaging of the foot, the neural network assesses the angle of the foot arch and compares it with the reference value to evaluate the degree of longitudinal flatfoot, the company said. For x-rays of the knee joint, the network can determine the degree of osteoarthrosis by analyzing bone and cartilage structures of the joint and the articular cavity width. Also, in mammography, the neural network conducts screening (normal/pathology) and categorizes results according to the BI-RADS criteria.

The company is also developing AI products to assist in the interpretation of head and chest CT data.

Systems developed by Care Mentor AI are being used in medical facilities in Eastern Europe, and the company is looking to obtain first adopters of its systems in the U.S.
