The American College of Radiology (ACR) has launched Champions of Imaging 3.0, a contest that's designed to highlight radiology practices that are using Imaging 3.0 case studies to spark innovations.

These innovations can be developed in-house or imported into practices, according to the college. With the competition, the ACR hopes to help improve patient outcomes or experience, manage public health, and increase the value and role of radiology in integrated care teams, according to the college.

In the first round of the competition from 2019 to 2020, the competition will focus on clinical decision support and appropriate use criteria. Other radiology-related topics will be covered in subsequent years, according to the ACR.

Nomination forms are available on the ACR website and will be accepted through March 31, 2020. The finalists will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and then a champion will be determined via popular voting on social media.

The ACR will announce the winners at the October 2020 ACR Quality and Safety Conference.
