RedRick to launch Glide floating work surface at RSNA 2019

PACS furniture provider RedRick Technologies plans to introduce a new floating work surface called Glide at the upcoming RSNA 2019 meeting in Chicago.

Glide is designed to address the ergonomic challenges that occur when four or more monitors are arranged in a single row on a work surface. These kinds of ultrawide configurations force radiologists to constantly shift their gaze from left to right as they interpret images -- forcing their heads and necks into uncomfortable positions.

With Glide, radiologists can maintain a neutral head, neck, and spine posture as they review studies. The floating work surface electronically latches and unlatches from the primary work surface with the push of a button, and it smoothly glides anywhere in the horizontal plane to accommodate body rotation.
