International Isotopes posts Q1 decreases

Radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes posted revenue decreases in its first quarter of 2019 (end-March 31).

The company reported revenues of $2.5 million for the quarter, compared with $2.8 million for the same period last year. Net loss for the quarter was $51,958, compared with a net income of $34,404 for the first quarter of 2018. The firm attributed both the decrease in revenue and the net loss to the timing of revenue in its radiological services group.

Cobalt product revenue for the quarter increased 15%, from $327,778 in 2018 to $376,089. Radiological services revenue decreased by 34% in the quarter compared with the same period last year, while nuclear medicine product revenue increased by 10% in the first quarter, compared with the first quarter of 2018, the company said.
