The RSNA has tapped Dr. Gary Luker to be the editor of Radiology: Imaging Cancer, a new online journal slated for launch next year.

Luker is a professor of radiology, microbiology, immunology, and biomedical engineering at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI, where he serves as associate chair for clinical research in the department of radiology. He is also an attending physician at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Luker has served in editorial positions and provided peer review for a number of journals, including the Journal of Immunology, the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Integrative Biology, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, in addition to serving on multiple editorial boards, the RSNA said.

The new journal will cover clinical and translational cancer imaging studies across organ systems and modalities, including new technological developments. RSNA members will receive a complimentary subscription to the bimonthly online journal as a member benefit. Original research and editorial submissions to Radiology: Imaging Cancer will be accepted beginning in early 2019.
