RadioMedix, ITM ink radiopharmaceutical generator deal

Biotechnology firm RadioMedix and Isotopen Technologien MĂĽnchen (ITM) subsidiary Isotope Technologies Garching have signed an agreement to manufacture and supply germanium-68 (Ge-68) and gallium-68 (Ga-68) generators.

The generators will be produced at RadioMedix's Spica radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Houston. Gallium-68 is used in PET imaging to diagnose prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, and it is produced using Ge-68/Ga-68 generators, the company said.
