SNMMI names Thomas editor for technology journal

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) has named Kathy Thomas as editor of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology.

She takes over from Norman Bolus to serve a five-year term, beginning with the January 2018 issue.

Thomas is currently a member of the Uptake newsletter editorial board. She has also been a member of the SNMMI's technologist section (TS) since 1974 and served as president of the SNMMI-TS, as well as an executive board member and chair of multiple committees.

Now retired, Thomas most recently was regional manager for applications and technical support for Capintec in Florham Park, NJ. She also was a senior nuclear medicine technologist and supervisor/quality assessment coordinator at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA.
