Varian Medical Systems' Halcyon radiation therapy system has received clearance from Brazil's medical device regulation body, the Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA).
Halcyon is an image-guided volumetric intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) system used to treat prostate, breast, head and neck, and many other forms of cancer, Varian said.
