Volpara launches 2 new products at RSNA 2017

Breast imaging software developer Volpara Solutions launched two new breast imaging products at RSNA 2017 in Chicago.

VolparaEnterprise Live is a mammography quality control tool that provides real-time feedback at the gantry. It calculates the patient positioning score, dose, and compression pressure for each image within 30 seconds of acquisition. It is currently pending regulatory clearance.

VolparaRisk software helps identify women who may be at increased risk of developing breast cancer even without a family history of cancer and who may benefit from a full workup of risk assessment. The software is available on the VolparaEnterprise Breast Imaging metrics platform and applies data ranking once the Volpara clinical applications process the mammogram. Each mammogram is ranked according to the magnitude of the mammographic density relative to the patient's age and breast size, which helps identify additional women who can be directed for additional screening.

VolparaEnterprise software provides assessment of image quality on every mammography or tomosynthesis study, including patient positioning and compression. It also provides automated ConstantQuality performance monitoring with interactive dashboards. In addition, the software has been designed to help facilities comply with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's new Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program (EQUIP). Volpara is expanding its EQUIP software to include analytics of interpreting physician activity to meet the new guidelines.

Also at RSNA 2017, Volpara is showcasing its VolparaEnterprise DDP software.
