Fuji releases DICOM upgrades for Synapse

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA has introduced upgrades to its Synapse vendor-neutral archive (VNA) software.

Version 6.4 of Synapse VNA now includes support for DICOM web services, including DICOM query (QIDO-RS) and retrieve (WADO-RS) protocols.

WADO-RS allows web clients to retrieve DICOM objects that match a requested criterion, while QIDO-RS allows them to query for DICOM objects that match specified parameters, Fujifilm said.
