Siemens Healthineers has appointed David Edwards as senior vice president of strategic corporate accounts.
Edwards is responsible for the firm's commercial strategy with national consolidators, integrated delivery networks, national reference labs, federal accounts, and group purchasing organizations. Edwards and his team aim to evolve customer relationships into long-term strategic partnerships, Siemens said.
He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, management, and public speaking. Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers in 2016, he served as vice president of supplier relations and business development at Premier Healthcare Alliance, where he was responsible for sales, business development, and supplier/provider partnerships. He is credited with propelling the alliance's purchasing volume to $50 billion.
