Biomedical device firm Biotronik has introduced ProMRI Configurator, an online software tool designed to assist physicians in selecting cardiac devices and leads that are safe for MRI scans.
After physicians enter their desired MRI conditions, ProMRI Configurator generates a list of all suitable MR-conditional cardiac devices and leads that are approved and available in their country, according to the vendor. ProMRI Configurator complements Biotronik's SystemCheck service, which enables physicians and patients to retrospectively check whether an implanted cardiac system is MR-conditional, Biotronik said.
