MILabs wins Japanese contract

Preclinical imaging developer MILabs has installed its Vector+/CT system at Kanazawa University in Japan.

The system will be used for a broad range of projects at the division of tracer kinetics in Kanazawa's Advanced Science Research Center. The division is engaged in the study and development of radioactive molecular probes for neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, as well as different types of carcinomas, MILabs said.

The system will also be used to study tumor detection and treatment with radiopharmaceuticals, combined radioimmunotherapy, and cancer drug resistance in different carcinomas such as breast, bone, and colon through the use of transgenic animals and xenograft tumor models, the firm said.
