Monarch Medical names interim CEO

Monarch Medical PET Services announced it has appointed an interim CEO.

Gary Moyers began his new position on February 1, according to the company. The firm removed former CEO Michael Abboud from the position and the company's board of managers in January. In addition, the board voted to terminate any further dealings with Abboud's diagnostic imaging equipment maintenance company, Monarch Medical Technologies.

On February 12, Abboud filed suit against the board in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County, seeking an emergency temporary restraining order to block and reverse the recent board decisions. On May 7, a state court judge denied the requested emergency relief, although litigation will continue, Monarch Medical PET Services said.
