Kjaya participates in RSNA imaging sharing demo

Medical graphics computing technology firm Kjaya Medical was one of 15 IT vendors to participate in the RSNA 2012 Image Sharing Demonstration.

The company demonstrated the ability of iShareScan.com to retrieve and distribute medical images stored in its cloud-based archive.

The demonstration called participants to complete simulated imaging procedures, such as scheduling them on a RIS through results reporting. They were also asked to access all data from the RSNA's online Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing for Imaging (XDS-I) profile registry-repository and share information with other attendees using technology from participating image-sharing vendors.

The exercise enabled Kjaya to display on-the-fly retrieval and viewing of images, dose reports, and other imaging-related data with its iShareScan.com technology. It functions as an Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) XDS consumer for file viewing, but also automates the transfer of copied data to the firm's cloud archive, according to the company.
