ONC requests public input for stage 3 MU rule

The U.S. Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) has requested public comment regarding stage 3 meaningful use (MU) recommendations.

The Health IT Policy Committee (HITPC) has recommended that stage 3 "be the time to transition from a setting-specific focus to a collaborative, patient- and family-centric approach."

The request for comment consists of three sections, including meaningful use objectives and measures, quality measures, and privacy and security. Information about submitting a comment can be accessed here.

Comments will be accepted through January 14, 2013.
