GE, Medipattern to build ultrasound tools

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., and computer-aided detection firm Medipattern of Toronto will collaborate on the development of ultrasound-based vascular imaging quantification tools.

GE's vascular ultrasound group will combine its technology with Medipattern's Cadenza algorithm to create Vascular iQ. Medipattern will devise a generalized version of the vascular product and build an exclusive version for GE ultrasound systems.
