Eclipsys taps CMO

Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys has named Dr. Tobias Samo as chief medical officer (CMO).

Samo most recently served as medical director of information technology at longtime Eclipsys client Methodist Hospital in Houston, and he will work with Eclipsys senior executives to help establish long-term clinical strategy and short-term priorities for the company's clinical offerings, the Atlanta-based firm said.

He will also be responsible for executive-level and physician sales support at Eclipsys.
