Diagnostic display distributor U.S. Electronics (USEI) of Minneapolis has signed a deal with film scanner manufacturer Vidar Systems of Herndon, VA, giving it rights to sell Vidar's line of digitizers.
The deal will help USEI take advantage of the ongoing shift of healthcare facilities toward digital image management by enabling the company to offer them an option for digitizing their film-based archives, according to the company. USEI said the Vidar deal is the first step in the company's plan to develop a growing line of PACS peripheral products.
