ViewRay reports revenue spike for Q2

Image-guided radiation therapy vendor ViewRay reported a major increase in revenues for the second quarter of 2022.

For the quarter (end-June 30), ViewRay reported total revenues of approximately $22.1 million, up 46% from the $15 million reported during the same period in 2021. Primarily, revenues in the most recent quarter were from sales of three new radiation therapy systems and one upgrade.

The company's net loss for the second quarter of 2022 was $27.6 million, compared with a net loss of $31 million in the same quarter of 2021.

Additionally, ViewRay reported receiving orders for eight new MRIdian systems worth a total of $46.3 million during the second quarter of 2022. In the same period in 2021, the company received seven new orders worth a total of $37.9 million.
