PHOENIX - Reducing medical errors and improving patient safety have become key issues throughout healthcare, and radiology is no exception. In a talk at AHRA 2022, Mark Lerner discusses techniques for improving quality in radiology departments.
Process improvement techniques like lean Six Sigma can easily be applied to radiology, to the benefit of patient care, according to Lerner, an executive at medical recruiting firm PSI Recruiters of Washington, DC. For example, at one of Lerner's clients, they were able to cut the time needed to complete an MRI exam by half.
