Image sharing technology firm PocketHealth wins Ga. contract

Canadian firm PocketHealth has secured a contract with a Georgia-based medical center for its image sharing platform.

Habersham Medical Center of Georgia's Habersham County will install PocketHealth's digital image sharing platform to give patients access to their medical images and radiology reports and allow them to be shared with their healthcare providers. The shift will eliminate the use of CDs for image sharing, PocketHealth said.

The platform includes a Report Reader tool that helps patients better understand medical terms in radiology reports, according to the firm.
