Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has released a new mobile x-ray system and a carbon flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detector. It plans to highlight the new offerings at the upcoming RSNA meeting.
The new product, mKDR Xpress mobile x-ray, is a portable x-ray unit that lends itself to use in the intensive care unit, the critical care unit, and the operating room. The system has a slim design and collapsible column that facilitates movement through a hospital, as well as a mobile-specific user interface, remote control, and front-and-back collimator controls with laser alignment
The company's AeroDR Carbon flat-panel detector is designed for general x-ray use; the carbon material has been infused with antibacterial properties, the company said. The detector can be used on the mKDR Xpress system.
